This is a fantastic guide. It's full of things you need to know, things you want to know, and things you need to know that you didn't know you wanted to know. (Warning, you may be craving baguettes and crêpes by the time you're done.) But it's got tons of great information, phrases/transla tions you'll need, and info on how to not stick out like a sore thumb in France, all presented in an easy and enjoyable read. And it comes with an audio guide. If you're thinking about traveling to France, this book will help you plan and be in the know when you arrive.

Beautiful color photos on quality paper. Cultural tips to help one fit in, French keywords and questions, enunciation helps and audio CD included. Very user friendly. Also a helpful tool if you want to be appreciated by the locals, as they love to see foreigners make any attempt to speak any French. This book helps you enjoy the flavor of France...to get the most out of your experience without without complex language studies. This book is designed for ease of use and is very helpful. It's obvious the authors/photogr aphers took great care in designing and writing this book for every traveler to France. I'm waiting for the 2nd book in the series.

We just bought the book and CD for my mother and mother-in-law. Excellent resource for both new and dedicated Francophiles.

Beautiful illustration, lovely layout, and a really useful and enjoyable text, in just the right amounts (I already learnt a lot just from the sample pages). If I retire to France I will need just such a book to get me started.
